Log Home Plans A log home (or log house) is technically the same thing as a log cabin – a house constructed from logs that have not been milled into conventional framing lumber. The term “log home” is a more contemporary reference to this type of home and is preferred by most log home builders. “Log cabin” generally refers to a smaller log home.
