Q:`hello, can you tell me how the window works left of the front door? coat room under there? also, how wide is the hallway up stars? also, what is the two posts between the kitchen and living? ,is it structural? Thank you so much.
A:The stair landing area is in front of those windows and is held back by a railing. The area in front of the windows is open to the basement below so you would access that area from the basement. So no, there would not be room for coats. The coat closet is back by the Den cabinets.
We have the windows shown as casements, but you can put a different style window in if you choose.
The upstairs hall way is approximately 3’-6”.
The two posts between the kitchen and great room are nonstructural decorative columns that are above a counter.
