Previous Ask The Designer Q & A
Question: What is the height of the vaulted ceilings in the great room, dining, kitchen, and breakfast room? Thank you for your time in replying. Tammy
Answer: The ceiling height starts out at 9’ above the floor along the back wall in both the breakfast area and the great room. It rises up from there at a 4.5” to 12” slope to a maximum height of about 15’ at the center of the kitchen and just before you enter into the dining room from the great room, where the ceiling begins to slope down at the same 4.5”/12” slope till it reaches 9’ at the front door. The ceiling height at the front walls of the dining room and the kitchen are about 10 ½’ and 12 ¾’ respectively.

Question: Can we fit a corner whirlpool tub in the master ensuite. Also, how high are the ceilings and can the master bedroom have regular ceiling instead of coffer. Tks nora
Answer: Thanks for the inquiry – The standard ceiling height in this home is 9’ and the coffered ceiling in the master suite could easily be converted so that there is no coffered ceiling. The corner tub is a 60” x 60” so you would have to check the manufacturer’s dimensions to make sure the one you have in mind would fit.
