A: Hello,
There are a couple of options for a door in the bathroom upstairs.
The vanity is currently 5’ – 6”. This could be changed to 5’, and then we could add a 2 x 6 wall between the vanity and the toilet with a pocket door.
The other option would be to add a 2 x 4 wall from the edge of the vanity to the bottom bathroom wall with a door swinging outward.
This might be a little tight, but moving the exterior wall would require changes that are much more time consuming. When moving exterior the changes snowball. The first floor, both floor’s framing plans, the front and rear elevations would all change. This is why we recommend one of the other options.
A: The width of the hallway and the stairs are both 3’ – 8”. The square footage is correct. It’s measured to the frame (not including brick) with the stairs counted on both floors.
The depth is 39’ – 1” from the back of the fireplace to the tip of the front porch. The depth without the porch is 35’ – 7”
