A reassuringly solid roof rises above the facade of this European country-influenced plan to impart a sense of strength and security to the series of gables that form its principal exterior design. A gabled covered entry leads into the wide foyer, which spills into the open living room and formal dining room to create an ideal series of spaces for entertaining. For family times, a big family room is set off from the formal spaces and includes a big fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and built-ins. For informal dining, the sunny breakfast nook is open to the kitchen and features a French door onto the covered rear patio for fair-weather dining outdoors. Down a secluded hall, the master suite shares the left wing of the home with a secondary bedroom, which would serve beautifully as a nursery where required. The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, skylights, entry onto the patio, and double doors into the lavish master bath.
