Q:Re: House Plan 79521 Front Porch Dimensions My wife and I are interested in this house plan, but based on the graphics available on-line, I have some questions on the actual size of the front porch. 1) What exactly is the depth of the front porch (including the portion that wraps to the sides of the house)? 2) If the porch is to scale in the floor plan, it looks to be ~4.5'. If so, we would prefer a much larger front porch; can the porch be enlarged in this design (at least the very front portion) without alot of redesign? Thanks, Larry
A:The front porch, as all porches are 5’-0” wide; All the porches can be readily deepened in the field, as their roof is independent of the main roof.

Q:Will this house plan (#79521) work with a lot that slopes with the rear higher than the front?
A:There is no reason it can’t work. The likelihood is that the front porch might be raised up requiring steps, but this would be the case with any house on such a lot, since you need to keep the rear wail of the house at a height to match or be higher than the rear grade. You might want to check with a local builder or surveyor for further advice.
