Age in Place Home Designs
More and more of today’s Empty Nesters are building homes that they may never need to leave. Given the choice, many prefer the idea of staying in their own homes, rather than moving into senior housing. Such long-term home occupancy is known as “aging in place” and it’s becoming more and more popular as we live longer, healthier lives.

This collection of Age-in-Place Designs features floor plans with wider hallways, wider door openings, space to maneuver a wheelchair in the master bath, and at least one entrance into the home that’s flat to the ground. By the way, building one of these designs doesn’t mean you’re “old” – you’re just forward-thinking.
