Previous Questions and Answers
Q:I am in the process of calculating a cost to build. I would like to have a 18 or 20' W by 24' D garage on the R/R corner of the house 4' away from the house. Does this Designer have any plans for this? This garage is for a auto shop with a lift. The ceiling has to be 13' high. Thank you.
A:Hello, We do not have a garage plan that exactly fits your criteria. Its very specific. The closest plan we have to start with would be plan 59119 or 59076.
59119 is 24x24, with a 9' wall height, so that would have to be elevated, or you could just change that onsite. Would you care to submit a specific list of changes for either of these for a quote?

Q:I have a tight budget and trying to figure my cost to build. I will be the owner builder and do much work myself. I would like to know the dimensions of the basement so I can figure the cost of my ICF forms I plan to use. Also if I could get the roof square so I may figure the cost of metal roofing. Thank you/
A:Hello, The materials list is available for purchase with or without the plan package. So you can call the website and order the materials list only. Your going to need it if your trying to do a cost estimate.
The basement is the same size and shape as the heated/cooled portions of the first floor. There is no basement under the porches, garage, storage. The list calls for 1856 s.f. of waterproofed wall. The basement walls are 9' tall. So you can get your linear footage of basement exterior walls from that.
50 squares of shingles are called for on the materials list.
If you have additional questions concerning materials quantities, the best option is to purchase the materials list. It can be emailed directly to you same day.

Q:How many square feet will completing the bonus room and bath add to this plan?
A:Hello, The first floor is 1919 s.f. heated, with another 1143 s.f. of unheated (porches, garage, storage) the bonus room and bath are 338 s.f. available. So all those together is 3400 s.f. total under roof. Let us know if we can assist you with any changes, or other questions. I am the original designer of this plan. Have a great weekend and God bless!
