Plan Description
Big Country House Plan With 3 Car Side Load Garage (Plan 82816)
Big Country House Plan 82816 has 2,530 square feet of living space, 3 bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms. It's a modern version of the peaceful farmhouses you've seen in paintings. You will expect lots of natural light in the interior because of the large windows across the front of the house. The wraparound front covered porch is 7 feet deep. It will encourage daily "porch sittin" and accommodate a long row of rocking chairs. Plus, the rear garage indicates that it has potential living space above. Let's take a tour of the floor plan to understand the layout.
Big Country House Plan With Room to Expand
Big Country House Plan 82816 has plenty of space for your family to enjoy. Firstly, the living room includes a cozy fireplace, and this room feels even larger because of the vaulted ceiling. The vaulted ceiling is continued out to the back covered porch which measures 17' wide by 14' deep. Imagine grilling steaks and hamburgers on this back porch with your family every summer. Plus, you can invite all the neighbors because the porch extends on two sides. Some homeowners will put a swimming pool in the back yard. Guests can easily access the half bathroom because it has an exit door to the porch.
Secondly, we take a look at the heart of the home—the kitchen. What do you think of knotty pine cabinets for this room? Or, you can finish the cabinets in the more traditional white shaker. Either way, there is a great big center island to help with food preparation. Eat breakfast in the sunny breakfast nook, and later, share a large supper in the formal dining room. Thirdly, there's a study on the main floor off the foyer. Some will make this into a library, and others will have a quiet home office if they work from home.
Side Load 3 Bay Garage With FROG
Find the main floor master suite on the right side of the home. Mom and Dad have a door out to the porch. We can bet that they will go outside some nights to gaze at the stars. The ensuite includes double vanity, soaking tub, private water closet, walk-in shower, and a walk-in closet. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are upstairs, and each child has a private bathroom. Bedroom 2's walk-in closet allows access to the attic and the ac unit should you decide to place it there.
Take a look at other notable features of Big Country House Plan 82816:
Future Room Over Garage (FROG)
3 Car, side load garage
Good-sized laundry room with utility sink
Mud room with locker drop zone
Optional basement
