Inspired by the late-19th-century summer cottages along the East Coast, this versatile design is suitable as a primary residence or as a cozy weekend retreat. The floor plan is practically sized and is expanded by a deep veranda and a screened porch, which serve as additional entertaining areas. At the entry, a leaded-glass door opens to a dramatic two-story foyer and turned staircase. A view into the living area reveals a warm woodstove and plenty of space for unwinding after work or a long day of fishing. A dining area is nestled between two sets of sliding French doors. The kitchen's central location and convenient serving bar to the living area make it simple yet functional. Enticing double doors gain access to the master bedroom on the main floor. Enjoy stepping out to the screened porch or into your private bath, with its handy pocket door to the utility room. Two more bedrooms share another bath on the upper floor. The blueprints include plans for a detached two-car garage.

Previous Q & A
Q:The floor plan shows "sliding French doors" from the dining room, but I don't see that there is enough room here for that type of door. Will you please explain that?
A:They are 6068 sliding doors.
Q:What is the thing that looks like a shower stall in the hall closet? Thanks, Sunny
A:This is the H-vac noted in this closet. Also, the space between the two Master windows would be roughly 8’-8”.
Thanks!
Q:Do the plans meet the latest IRC codes?
A:No, this plan does not meet the latest IRC Codes.
Q:Is this a galley kitchen? It doesn't seem to have enough room for an island since the floor space is less than 4' wide.
A:If you wish to have an island, I would suggest placing it between the kitchen and dining area. But yes, the appliances and cabinets eat up a lot of the floor space in the kitchen as designed.
Q:Can I get the CAD drawings to House Plan 95541
A:I do not offer CAD drawings, but can provide a PDF.
Q:hard to tell from pics if exterior is clad with stone or shakes......also what is roof material....do you have pics of matching garage?
A:Hello-
The orginal renderings show a wood shake exterior and roof, however you could use any siding and roofing materials you feel suitable for the plan and your location.
Attached is the garage information.
Thanks!
A:Yes you can! Please click the "Modifications" tab above to get more information.
Q:What is the estimated price to build this plan?
A:The national average for a house is running right at $125.00 per SF. You can get more detailed information by clicking the Cost-To-Build tab above. Sorry, but we cannot give cost estimates for garage, multifamily or project plans.
