Ask the Designer any question you may have. NOTE: If you have a plan modification question, please click on the Plan Modifications tab above.
A: This design is drawn to meet national building codes in effect the time the plan was drawn. If your county has a specific version of the national code that the plan needs to meet let us know what that is and we can confirm if the plan meets or exceeds that version of the national code. From there the plans are subject to local codes and requirements. If the plans have additional requirements they need to meet, this review will need to be provided to you by a local professional who is registered in the State of Ohio. This is very common as each building jurisdiction has different requirements for lateral and seismic requirements that are specific to your building site. This review can be providing to you by a registered engineer and depending on your building department the engineer’s review may need to be incorporated into the construction drawings. If that is the case you will want to look at purchasing either the PDF or CAD Masters. Both of these plan packages will provide you with the licensing to have the plans modified locally and the digital formats will allow a local engineer to incorporate their review directly onto the construction drawings. Some building departments will accept marked up prints in which case you can choose which ever plan package will work best for your needs.
