Garage home plans. This barn design features 2 stalls, generous storage, and a recreation room on the second floor. There are three garage doors that open to the center of the barn for easy access. Each stall has two sets of doors, one through the inside of the barn. The other gives you access from the outside. The exterior door could easily be fenced in and left open to expand the stall.

Question: I may be missing it somewhere, but what is the snow load for this design with the 6:12 pitch?

This design is currently drawn with a snow load of 25 psf.

Question: What are heights? Height of first floor? Height of second floor ? Mean roof height and height to peak?

The stalls and storage on the main floor have 9’-0” top plates and the area labeled barn has a 12’-0” top plate. The second floor has an 8’-0” top plate and the overall building height is 30’-4”.

Question: What is the ceiling height of the main level barn area?

Question: What is the roof height (inside upper living area) 2nd floor? Hight at top of stairs (center)? Then the hight at ether end (side window wall)? Steve
Answer: Dear Steve,
Thank you for your interest in plan number 59474.
The recreation room has an 8’ top plate on the right and left sides. The ceiling vaults at the center and is approximately 11’7” tall. The top of the stairs are almost in line with the ridge of the vault so the ceiling is about 11’ tall at the top of the stairs.
