A: The beam does not go all the way through the structure. This 4” X 12” beam is more decorative than structural, but does have limited carrying capacity if anchored correctly.
A: In answer to your question about the size of the upstairs room/loft for Plan #002D-6043, the total area is 15’-4” X 23’-4” but the area under the 6’-7” high cross ties is 10’ X 23’-4”.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The door size is 9x7.
A: This plan is drawn on a slab foundation.
A: Yes, it could be made into a small apartment with some plan modifications but keep in mind that the ceiling will be sloped and the ceiling height before it is finished is 6’-7”.
