Traditional Ranch House Plan 35006 with 1,096 Sq Ft, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths and Open Living Design
Traditional ranch house plan 35006 delivers efficient one-story living, timeless curb appeal, and exceptional value in a compact and highly functional design. Offering 1,096 square feet of living space, 3 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms, this thoughtfully designed ranch home is ideal for first-time homebuyers, small families, empty nesters, retirees, vacation properties, or anyone seeking affordable and comfortable living without sacrificing style or functionality.
The exterior showcases the enduring appeal of traditional ranch architecture, a style that remains one of America's most popular home designs thanks to its simplicity, practicality, and broad market appeal. Clean rooflines, balanced proportions, and an inviting front elevation create a welcoming appearance that fits comfortably into neighborhoods, rural settings, and suburban communities alike.
Inside, the efficient floor plan makes outstanding use of every square foot. The main living area creates a bright and welcoming environment where family members and guests can gather comfortably. The open flow between the living room, dining area, and kitchen helps the home feel larger than its footprint while supporting today's casual lifestyle.
The kitchen is designed for everyday convenience with efficient workspace, ample cabinetry, and easy access to the dining area. Whether preparing weeknight meals or hosting family gatherings, the layout supports both functionality and comfort while maintaining strong connections to the surrounding living spaces.
The private primary suite provides a comfortable retreat with its own full bathroom, creating a peaceful space for homeowners to relax and unwind. Thoughtful placement within the floor plan allows for privacy while maintaining convenient access to the home's main living areas.
Two additional bedrooms offer flexible accommodations for children, guests, home office needs, hobbies, or multigenerational living arrangements. A second full bathroom serves these rooms while providing convenience for visitors and everyday family life.
The ranch-style layout eliminates stairs from daily living, making the home attractive for homeowners of all ages and particularly appealing for aging-in-place considerations. The efficient design also helps reduce construction costs, maintenance requirements, and long-term operating expenses.
Whether built as a starter home, retirement residence, rental investment property, vacation retreat, or downsizing opportunity, house plan 35006 delivers comfortable living, practical design, and timeless ranch appeal in an affordable and highly livable package.
Better Living by Good Design.
What's Included?
Exterior Elevations Scaled drawings of the front, rear, sides of the home. Information pertaining to the exterior finish materials, roof pitches and exterior height dimensions.
Typical Wall Section This section will address insulation, roof components, and interior and exterior wall finishes. Your plans will be designed with either 2x4 or 2x6 exterior walls, but most professional contractors can easily adapt the plans to the wall thickness you require.
Fireplace Details If the home you have chosen includes a fireplace, the fireplace detail will show typical methods to construct the firebox, hearth and flue chase for masonry units, or a wood frame chase for a zero-clearance unit. Available for most plans.
Foundation Plan These plans will accurately dimension the footprint of your home including load bearing points and beam placement if applicable. The foundation style will vary from plan to plan.
Roof Plan The information necessary to construct the roof will be included with your home plans. Some plans will reference roof trusses, while many others contain schematic framing plans. These framing plans will indicate the lumber sizes necessary for the rafters and ridgeboards based on the designated roof loads.
Typical Cross Section A cut-away cross-section through the entire home shows your building contractor the exact correlation of construction components at all levels of the house. It will help to clarify the load bearing points from the roof all the way down to the basement. Available for most plans.
Detailed Floor Plans The floor plans of your home accurately dimension the positioning of all walls, doors, windows, stairs and permanent fixtures. They will show you the relationship and dimensions of rooms, closets and traffic patterns. The schematic of the electrical layout may be included in the plan.
Stair Details If stairs are an element of the design you have chosen, the plans will show the necessary information to build these, either through a stair cross section, or on the floor plans.
