Economical Modern Farmhouse Plan with Side Entry Garage
1200 Sq Ft Home Plan 42903 sure is a charmer! It has lovely vertical white siding and black window frames which make it look like a miniature modern farmhouse. The front covered porch is just big enough to fit a bench where you can pull off your shoes before going inside. Overall, this new house plan measures 50 feet wide by 46 feet deep, and it has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The garage adds 543 square feet of unfinished space, and the covered patio in the back adds outdoor living space under its vaulted ceiling.

1200 Sq Ft Home Plan 42903 has both contemporary and unusual features. Firstly, the entrance is non-traditional because the front door opens into the laundry room. It may be unusual, but have you thought about the practicality? Save space because you don't need both a formal foyer and a laundry room. Instead, those two things are combined into one room. In fact, the garage entrance opens into the laundry room too. As a result, when you enter, you have immediate access to the utility sink to drop muddy shoes or clothing. Furthermore, the locker drop zone grabs your bags and coats, thus cutting down on the clutter that would otherwise make its way into the rest of the home.
Secondly, we find the option for faux ceiling beams in the open living space among the kitchen, dining area, and living room. This feature is definitely popular in today's homes. 1200 Sq Ft Home Plan 42903 offers three foundation types. If you want to expand your living space, choose the basement option and then finish the basement. Then you can add more bedrooms if desired. The basement staircase will change the layout of the main floor. In fact, you will lose a bit of the kitchen space because the bathroom location moves to the front wall. The staircase will take the original place of the bathroom. While we're in this section of the floor plan, glance over to see the garage. It has room for storage and a workbench so you can get on with those projects you're been meaning to do.
Two bedrooms are standard with this plan. The primary bedroom takes up the rear, and it measures 12.5 feet wide by 13'9 deep in the main bedroom area. Easily fit two dressers around your king size bed. There is a good-sized walk-in closet right outside of the bathroom too. The second bedroom includes a shallow closet measuring 8'5 across. Easily fit a queen size bed and dresser in this room.
