1000 SQ FT Home Plan 42961 is a simple, yet attractive new construction option. For those who are in the market for a small new home, this one is only 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It promises a quick and efficient build, and then easy maintenance. You are greeted by a charming front covered porch which spans the front of the home at 40 feet wide! Don't stop there because we also included a back covered porch that measures 20 feet wide by 7 feet deep. Move in quickly and don't forget to bring your grill!
1000 SQ FT Home Plan With Veranda
Although it's modest in size, 1000 SQ FT Home Plan 42961 is full of great features! Firstly, the garage is semi-hidden. That means you have a side-load 2 car garage. Even better, the garage is positioned at the rear of the house. This will work well for those who have neighborhood rules where they cannot have the garage doors facing the street. The garage also has a dedicated room for your furnace and water heater. The garage measures 22'11 wide by 22'11 deep, and it has a 9' ceiling. Going inside the house, we find a swell "cloak room" which is a fancy way to say mud room. There is a drop zone including bench seating and hooks for hanging up your outerwear.
Secondly, the beautiful front veranda is enhanced by several glass doors. This way, natural light pours into the home, especially into the open living space. The ceiling in this space has the option to vault it up to 12 feet! You also have an optional fireplace, and you can surround it with a plush sofa and chair. If you decide not to dine outside, you can dine at the giant kitchen island instead. This kitchen has a wall of 16" deep pantry cabinets to supplement your storage needs.
