Previous Q & A
Q:Garage Plan 44139 What does the roof structure look like? is the internal ceiling flat or 2:12 slope
A:Good morning. The main level plate line is at 9' and the front wall plate line is a little over 13' and yes the roof pitch is 2:12/slope. Truss roof per local manufacturer. Let me know if they have any more questions :)
Q:What is the pitch of the roof? How tall is the back wall? How tall is the front wall? Is it a vaulted ceiling inside? If not, do the windows just go into the attic space?
A:It has a 9' rear wall and yes it is vaulted ceilings inside. The rest of the info will be on the construction set.
Q:What is the garage door side height of the ceiling?
A:it is 13'-4" high
Q:The ceiling is on a slope 8 foot 2 inches on the low side what is the ceiling height on the high side I'm thinking about putting in 9 foot tall garage doors instead of 8 by knowing the dimension of the high side I can subtract the structural Framing and know if I have enough room to increase the garage door height... Or just snap a picture of the cross section of garage door framing wall and I'll figure it myself Thanks Wayne
A:Wayne you will need to have 1' taller walls for a 9' garage door to work.
Q:I presume the roof trusses are Warren Girder type. How deep are they and what is the head room at the rear of the garage? I presume it is less than 9ft?
A:We call out roof trusses per manufacturer and the inside ceiling height would be 8'-2"
Q:Do the plans give the design of the roof trusses in sufficient detail for me to construct them myself? I presume the water proof covering is asphalt sheeting?
Regards Alan Taylor
A:Alan the truss manufacturer will have to design your trusses. We call out the shingles as asphalt but others have built it with a metal roof as well.
Q:what do you call the cladding that you have used on the pillars
A:THIN SET STONE
