A:This roof is best constructed “stick” built using 2 x 8 rafters per your local code requirements. The floor system is specified as a “pre-engineered” floor truss per the manufacturers specifications.
Q:Do the larger dormer areas shown on the front and rear elevations require steel beams to support the floor joists?
A:There are no steel beams required in this design. The floor joist are “clear span” pre-engineered floor joist provided by your local lumber company
