A registered professional engineer should design the foundation for your specific lot. We believe something this important should not use generic drawings. Where we are located, most municipalities, FHA/VA, and all the builder warranty programs require the foundations to be designed by a registered structural engineer.

A: As I lived in the original version of this home I am intimately acquainted with it. This version, and also the one I lived in, had an apartment type "pancake" unit in the ceiling of the utility. As it is drawn for this version there is also an optional pull down stairway in the front hall that could be used to access an attic mounted unit, these don't show on the artwork. Speaking of mechanical equipment the water heater for this home is an "on demand" unit in the small closet behind the toilet of the master bath. Let us know what else we can do to be of help.
