Q: Do these plans meet the 2021 IRC building code? They must also show on the plans that it can support a 30 lb sq ft snow load. Also, it must meet the 125 mph Valt wind design for the structure and foundation. I appreciate your help with these questions.
A: House plans conform to the IRC in effect at the time the design was created. This specific house plan meets 2018 IRC, although it has been updated recently which means they likely meet 2021 IRC. Our house plans will not supply any framing or structural engineering. The homeowner will need to obtain these from a local engineer at their expense.
