A: Good morning, thank you for your inquiry. Because we do not know the exact location of a home building lot, we never dictate how high the house will sit above the ground. The builder/owner make this decision based on local codes and site, soil condition. This decision will determine how deep the actual footing will be. The depth and height are relative one another and a decision to be made on site. You may consider the basement foundation and then omit some perimeter walls to have a good air flow; But still keep some privacy. A local engineer can assist you with plans in hand.
