Q & A

Previous Q & A
Q:What are the size of the bedroom windows in the dormers? Or how much room is there in the dormers to make the windows as big as possible?
A:These dormer windows on each side are Awning windows at a size of 4’-0”x1’-9”. With this design they are as big as you’re going to get them. You may be able to go a little wider.
Thanks,
Q:I am trying to understand how much of a knee wall was needed in the second floor bedrooms. Seeing the dormers on these elevations leads me to believe a knee wall only exists in the closet space.
Comparing this plan to the similar one, 57438.
Appreciate your help,
Chantel
A:Yes the knee wall is only shown at the closets, but without the Dormers you would have a continuous knee wall all around the perimeter of the Upper Floor for how this plan is designed. Plan 57438 has a knee wall also just like 57437 but there are no dormers because the windows are to the rear in the gable. The closets and entertainment center are up against the knee walls. Hope this helps.
Thanks!
Q:WE LIKE THIS PLAN,BUT ONY NEED ABOUT 1100-1200 SQUARE FEET. IS THERE A SMALLER VERSION OF THIS PLAN?
A:We have a smaller A-frame that is 1039 sq. ft. The plan # is 51028.
Common Q & A
Q:Can I make modifications to this plan?
A:Yes you can! Please click the "Modifications" tab above to get more information.
Q:What is the estimated price to build this plan?
A:The national average for a house is running right at $125.00 per SF. You can get more detailed information by clicking the Cost-To-Build tab above. Sorry, but we cannot give cost estimates for garage, multifamily or project plans.
