Storybook Style House Plan 81679 has 2,525 square feet of living space, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The two car, angled garage allows the home to fit on a narrower lot. We love the exquisite detail in the finishes chosen in the artist's rendering. For example, there is a combination of shingles and metal for the roof, decorated gables, flared eaves, exposed rafter tails, wooden barn-style garage doors, board and batten shutters, and arched entryways. All together, these lovely features remind you of a storybook cottage. However, at 2,525 sq ft, this "cottage" is the right size for your family.

How does one accomplish the interior design for their new Storybook Style House Plan? Let's take a look at the artist's depiction of the interior to get some ideas. Firstly, various warm wood tones are shown throughout the interior. Looking up, we find special ceiling treatments as we move from the foyer and into the kitchen. Choose neutral colors for the ceiling. That will complement the honey-colored stain of the dramatic ceiling beams in the vaulted lodge room. Spaces are cohesive because the same flooring is used throughout—a natural wood set in a herringbone pattern.
Secondly, we marvel at the curved kitchen island and the dark stone counter tops which are repeated as a back splash on the walls. White shaker cabinets are paired with a brown wood range hood, and three pendant lights add ambience to the kitchen. Casual dining shares this space, and tons of natural light flows inside thanks to abundant windows across the back of the house. Thirdly, entertain indoors or outdoors in comfort. The lodge room offers seating around a gorgeous stone fireplace. Additionally, use the built-ins to display your family photos. Step to the covered porch, and you will make use of the outdoor fireplace and the grilling area.

5. Roof Plan – Includes the overall layout for roof construction. If trusses are used, we recommend using a local truss manufacturer to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
6. Cross Section Details – Important changes in floor, ceiling and roof heights or the relationship of one level to another are called out. Exterior details such as railing and banding may also be shown.
7. Electrical – Electrical floor plan schematics for 1st and 2nd floors.
