Previous Q & A
Previous Questions and Answers
Q:what is required to make this a 4 season home? just add insulation or does it require 2x6 exterior walls to meet code?
A:Good day,
The good news is that for this plan, when ordered comes with both an isolated and non-isolated version. One is for 4 season living so the customer is free to choose.
I hope this helps!
Jessica
Q:Does it have a raised floor and what’s the height of the front and back elevations
A:Good morning,
For the roof of this plan, it starts at 8’-0’’ and goes up to 11’-5’’
Hope this helps!
Jessica
Q:I noticed that this is identical to the Drummond W1904 plan. I would like to build the slightly larger W1904 V2 plan with a laundry area. Is it possible to modify this plan? Also, we live in South Carolina and the county building code (Chester County) calls for the American building code version, not the international building code version.
A:Hi There,
Yes, this plan could be modified and complies with the US building codes
Thanks
Jessica
Q:How many times can I build using the same drawings?
A:Good day,
You are authorised to build only once. However, a multi-use licence can be made available for multiple constructions.
Jessica
Q:does this plan have a laundry area?
A:Seeing as this is a 3 season cottage it does not have space for a laundry area. The plan (that is not isolated and is in 2x4 exterior walls) is not designed for permanent living and would need to modified for this.
Q:I can't remember if I submitted this question earlier, but what are the dimensions of the bathroom please?
A:The size of the bathroom for this plan is 6'4" wide x 5'8" deep
Q:Plan 76166 Order# 00WEB Does the plan set include the plumbing layout?
A:Our plans do not include the plumbing layout as this will be determined by the professional who does the actual installation.
Q:How much would this plan cost to build with standard house materials?
A:Since the building cost differ from one region to the other, from state to state, we do not provide building costs. You may refer to a local builder who should be able to provide you with, at least, a cost per square foot.
Common Questions:
Q:Can I make modifications to this plan?
A:Yes you can! Please click the "Modifications" tab above to get more information.
Q:What is the estimated price to build this plan?
A:The national average for a house is running right at $125.00 per SF. You can get more detailed information by clicking the Cost-To-Build tab above. Sorry, but we cannot give cost estimates for garage, multifamily or project plans.
