Building Cross Section: shows details of the house as though it were cut in slices from the roof to the foundation. The cross sections detail the construction of the home, insulation, flooring and roofing.

Roof Plan: provides a bird's eye view of the roof's valleys, ridges and dormers, if applicable.

A: HI, The roofs are flat, with a small amount of slope (1/8” to ¼” per foot) that is created using thin, tapered insulation sheets under the membrane by the roofing installer which helps flow to a roof drain or scupper. The roofing material is generally TPO or EPDM, both long-lived, proven commercial roofing technologies. Often a thin layer gravel is added over the membrane for protection and visual appeal.
