Previous Q & A
Q:How is the dryer vented to the outside of the house and where would the outside vent be located? I'm going to build 3 blocks high using a stem wall slab, so can you run the vent under the slab?
A:We just state vent to the exterior on the plan. Your idea is fine, just refer to manufacturer's specifications on the vent.
Q:what is the R-value available for the ceiling?, Is there enough depth at the end of the trusses to allow for R-45, probably will be using blown cellulose.
A:The truss does not show a raised heel truss and would be insufficient for r-45 but we could modify the truss to make it work but it would effect the elevations.
Q:Could this plan use attic trusses, and if so, how much headroom in the attic.
A:Hello,
We understand the term "attic truss" to mean one where there is space, typically box shaped, for attic storage, accessible by a pull down stair. With a steeper pitched roof there could be space for a habitable room provided there was a fixed stair. The term "common truss" would describe an attic not suitable for storage or habitation.
That being said, this plan could be built with attic trusses with a height less than 7 feet at the peak.
Q:do you have a basement modification available?
A:Yes we do. The basement stairs are located in the utility room and living room. the utility is moved down to the basement. There is also an outside entrance. Ceiling height in the basement is 7' 6". If you need anything else let me know.
Common Q & A
