A: Hello, Predrawn house plans do not include heat and ac plans, or any other "site specific" mechanical plan. The basement level comes as empty, unfinished space, so the ideal location would be near the center. Many people choose to add interior walls and living spaces in the basement, so the location of the ac unit needs to take that layout in consideration. The local heat and ac installer, or a local designer is likely your best source to obtain mechanical plans that meet your local codes and budget. Have a good day!
