Previous Q & A
Q:The drawing looks like a one car garage. I am interested in the photos of the blue colored garage is this the design for it thanks Jay
A:This plan is a 2-car garage.
If you want a plan like the photos, you’ll need to make some modification.
Q:Is the width of the cantilever wide enough to be used as a carport?
A:Good morning,
As it is now no, it would not be wide enough for a car port but could be widened if required
Thanks
Jessica
Q:Hello What size are the plans are they a 1/4" to the foot Do the plans have an architect stamp on them. Thanks Ray
A:Hello,
Yes, our plans are 1¼ = 1 foot
And no, our plans do not have an architect stamp
Q:can the end wall by the posts be move out to the post and that are be made part of the garage interior
A:Good day,
Yes this could be done. It would need to be modified but is doable
Thanks
Jessica
Q:Are the posts on the left side of the house structural? Or are they decretive? This house may be at my max or just over my max width and the posts may be too close to the property line. Also does the width of the house include the over hang? what is the Garage height?
A:Good day and thank you for taking the time to write
The posts on the left side are structural and cannot be removed without jeopardizing the integrity of the structure.
The foot print does not include the overhang which is (on the first floor) 18" left and right and 24" front and back. It is 12" on the second floor.
The height of the garage is 27'8" from the top of the foundation to the ridge and 9'4" ceiling height inside.
Please let me know if I can futher assist you.
Q:can we design the overhang to be a cantilever? what is the width of the main floor less the overhang? is the floor built into the truss system? thanks miles
A:Good day and thank you for your interest in our plans
The overhang cannot be designed cantilever as it does not go far enough and will not meet code requirments
The width of the main floor less the overhang is 30'
The floor is built into the truss system using 12" prefabricated joists.
Q:On the upstairs bathroom (the one at top of steps) - is that a flat ceiling or does it slope? What is the height of bathroom, and if it slopes what is height of kneewall (on 'northern' wall)? Thanks!
A:Hello,
The bathroom at the top of the stairs, on the upper floor, has a sloped ceiling. The height of this bathroom's ceiling is 8 feet and the height of the kneewall is 4 feet.
If you have further questions, please contact us again. We will gladly answer you.
Q:I was curious as to whether you had any interior drawings or pictures, so as to get a better idea of what the rooms look like where the roof slants, such as in the kitchen, master bath, and second bedroom closet.
A:All the pictures we have posted for our plans were sent to us by customers. For this plan, to this day, we did not receive any photos.
