4 Bedroom Craftsman Home Plan
At first glance, this home looks like a pretty little Craftsman bungalow, something that you would see in a small New England community, surrounded by leafy trees and bathed in an ocean breeze. Stone and shingle siding, square pillars and Lodge-style exposed beams give this home the same kind of charm that you would expect to find at a hidden bed-and-breakfast. Then you walk through the front door, and as you are greeted by an impressive two-story foyer, you realize that your first impressions were all wrong. Further down the hall, you will find a spacious kitchen, dining area and great room. In this area, you will enjoy many wonderful weekends with the family. Gather everyone together in the great room for a family game night or a good movie, and then as the weekend rolls to a close, prepare and serve a scrumptious Sunday dinner in the kitchen and dining area. If you want to enjoy the beautiful coastal weather, all you need to do is step out onto the back patio. The floorplans include an electrical legend, and electrical fittings, lights and outlets are shown. Floor Plans will also indicate cross–section details (provided on the sections page) and show any special framing details applicable to the design. Cabinet elevations are included for kitchen and bathrooms; some designs feature cabinet elevations for design–related built–ins too.
Building Sections
Building sections show changes in floor, ceiling, or roof height, and the relationship of one level to another. Our section pages also show how the stairs are calculated (if there are some) and depict roof and foundation members. We try and draw sections to show the most useful information — choosing locations where there are elements you or your contractor might need clarification on.
