A: Because of the hip roofline the vaulted ceiling would run with the slope of the hip roof (sloping toward the front and toward the back). If you would prefer to vault side to side the roof would have to be modified.
A: The greatroom is able to accommodate a vaulted ceiling and that is a shower with a seat located in the bathroom next to kitchen.
