Q:Can the bonus room be raised to 9', instead of 8'?
A:We can certainly take a look at modifying this plan for you. If you want to provide us with a full list or sketch of the changes you would like to make we can put together a modification quote for your review.

Q:Are the upstairs bedrooms vaulted to 9' or 8'?
A:The second floor has a ceiling height of 8’. At the vaulted bedrooms, the ceiling starts at the 8’ high side walls and goes up to an approximate 10’-8” high center ridge.
Q:Are the black squares in the upstairs closets mechanical chases? If so, can the be moved? I'm thinking of opening up the space in from of the bonus room by removing the closet and moving the closet over the entry.

The two black squares on the second floor are framed out for two sun tubes in the ceiling of the kitchen. These are framed out from the roof down to the ceiling of the first floor. They can be removed if you will like.
Yes, the two story ceiling over the entry can be changed to show a walk-in closet off of the bedroom above. The entry ceiling will be 9’-0” high.
The second floor hall space to the bonus room can be opened up to the width of where the front bedroom closet is. The bonus room does have a sloped ceiling, so in the bonus room, the 8’ high ceiling does start to slope down about 2’ out from the side 6’-8” high side walls.

Q:What is the size of the kitchen area? Can it accommodate a double oven?
A:The kitchen is 14’-0” x 15’-4”. Currently this design does not have a double oven incorporated into the kitchen however there are a few places that you could have one installed. You can work with either your cabinet manufacturer or your builder to adjust the cabinets and counters to accommodate the double oven.
